  I don’t often write about a simple shopping experience, but i felt that my recent experience at one of your stores warranted customer feedback. I was in town over the Christmas holiday, visiting relatives in Virginia Beach. After traveling 8 hours from NYC, my allergies were starting up and I desperately needed quick relief. I pulled off the road to the Farm Fresh located at the intersection of Dam Neck and General Booth Blvd. I immediately searched for an associate to point me in the direction of the allergy aisle, when I happened upon a cashier at his station, who was checking out a customer and engaging in cordial dialogue. In my desperation to find my item and run, I had rudely interrupted the cashier. Admittedly, after a long drive and my aching sinuses, I was not very pleasant. The customer shot me a look, but the cashier acknowledged me right away, and without skipping a beat, he excused himself to the customer and addressed me ever so politely, calling me sir, and directed me to the correct aisle and the exact shelf location. I thanked him and proceeded as he’d directed me. Within a couple minutes, I had picked up a box of Zyrtec, and headed back to the same cashier who had assisted me. I waited in line, with maybe two customers ahead of me. Still feeling tired and miserable, I had the privilege to enjoy this cashier in action: Engaging with customers, carefully scanning items, and answering sale item questions, etc. His easy, professional, and friendly demeanor was received by each customer, and I felt myself calm down. I even participated in the friendly dialogue between the cashier and the other customers. I learned that the cashier’s name is Christopher. I told him that he was the most pleasant, informative, and helpful cashier I had come across. He appeared competent and articulate, and was doing his job happily. He literally changed my mood within minutes. I write this letter to thank you for hiring someone like Christopher, who makes a difference in an ordinary setting, by being genuinely engaged in his job, while providing superior customer service. I only hope that the management of Farm Fresh understands the impact that Christopher makes, and how well he represents your organization. Unfortunately, people tend to write complaint letters all too often, and rarely write about a positive experience. I had to share my story, since I truly believe that Christopher deserves the proper recognition for doing the exceptional job he does, with a smile, making every customer feel worthy and welcomed.

  My family has been getting prescriptions filled at this pharmacy for years. Overall good customer service and easy to find what you need. The produce department is always fresh and has what I need. :)
